THE SLUMBERLAND FURNITURE BEDRACE FOR BRIDGING CHARITABLE EVENT SCHEDULED FOR SATURDAY, MARCH 14, 2020 AT BUCK HILL HAS BEEN CANCELED.

While the cancellation may be disappointing, the decision by Bridging, Slumberland, Buck Hill and all partners was based on the current understanding of how COVID-19 is progressing in the United States and for the safety and well-being of all participants and volunteers.

Slumberland Furniture CEO, Kenny Larson, the event title sponsor says, “We remain fully committed to our support for Bridging despite the cancellation of this year’s Bedrace. We are grateful for the teams and corporations who registered and raised funds on Bridging’s behalf and know that our community is stronger because of all of you.”

If you’d like to make a donation of kitchenware, pots and pans, and blankets there are collection boxes at all Twin Cities Slumberland stores through Sunday, March 15, 2020.

 

Slumberland® Bedrace for Bridging racers will fundraise and collect “Bucks for Bridging” to help furnish homes with hope. All donations directly benefit Bridging and make a life-changing impact on local families and individuals transitioning out of homelessness and poverty. Last year, Bridging provided quality furniture and household goods to more than 4,500 families, 90% of whom have household incomes of $20,000 or below. These clients are referred to them through more than 200 social service agency partners. In order to serve this many families, they need your support. Register your team of four online at bedraceforbridging.org. Online registration ends Wednesday, March 11, 2020.
On-site registration day of event, March 14, 2020, begins at 3 p.m. at Buck Hill.

On or before February 14:  $200 per team
February 15 – March 11:  $220 per team
At event on March 14:  $240 per team

One hundred percent of registration fees go directly to Bridging thanks to our amazing title sponsor, Slumberland Furniture, and the generosity of our media sponsors: KSTP TV/News 5 and Kool 108.

Prizes

When the races are done, the celebration begins! Great prizes (and bragging rights) are awarded to the top three teams from each team category: Racing; Costumes; Fundraising.
